The north-facing family room was a perfect place for indoor plants to flourish and add a splash of freshness to the room. Having a number of plants grouped in the one room made more of an impression and became an attractive feature of the room.

This large family room incorporates a number of attractive and comfortable spaces to enjoy. The low coffee table has been placed in front of a sofa under the north-facing windows. The rocking chair is beside the heater and bookcase, creating a cosy reading area. The large round table is adjacent to the Parker 4-door sideboard and can be utilised for casual dining for craft projects.

This laundry originally had a twin stainless steel tub and space for a free-standing washing machine. When a front loading washing machine was purchased, it enabled a bench with storage cupboards to be installed, with white subway tiles to complete the make-over. All materials were purchased at Bunnings and the project completed as DIY. Existing plumbing remained in place which simplified the project. A vase collection lines the window sill, with a basket of cleaning products easily accessible on the bench, together with clothes basket.

I love the colours in this bedroom. The overall effect is created by simply using what is to hand. Nothing new has been purchased; just a rearrangement of pictures, photos, lamps, old suitcases, and cushions to style a beautiful bedroom.

The walk-in pantry door has been painted with blackboard paint - handy for shopping lists and messages. Original artwork, flying ducks and a crocheted garland all add to the quirkiness of this small kitchen.

This small kitchen previously had pink laminate doors on the upper and lower cabinets, with dated pink plastic handles. The lower cabinet doors were removed and painted with an enamel paint suitable for painting on laminate. The plastic handles were replaced with stainless steel handles that provided an instant update. The doors were removed from the upper cabinets and left as open shelving, utilising the existing white laminate of the inner cabinet shelving. Glasses, cups and mugs were attractively displayed on the open shelving, along with recipe books.

Located in a small town in Central West NSW, this brick veneer home was constructed in the late 1960’s. Consisting of three bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen, dining and family room, a formal lounge, bathroom and laundry, the house had a light neutral palette of Dulux Hog Bristle (half strength) for the walls and Antique White USA for the trim. Grey/blue carpet and tiles and new cream roller blinds completed the light and airy feel throughout the home. The owner had numerous original paintings and photos, books and china collections which needed careful display and arranging. Significant decluttering, downsizing and cleaning was done in preparation for listing for sale.
